Responsibilities
This position is located within a 24x7x365 network monitoring and support center. This position requires the incumbent to demonstrate expertise using network monitoring tools to monitor public and private cloud architectures supported by 2700+ devices. Network and system troubleshooting is required. The Network Control Center (NCC) is staffed 24x7x365 and requires the incumbent to work 12 hours shifts. This is a shift position.
Below job functions required to be done on daily basis:
Responsible for proactively monitoring 2700 network devices
Provide 1st level technical support for the network, server, application, and data (IP) traffic
Documentation of network and system problems in our service desk management system
Monitoring and troubleshooting network, system, and security events
Responsible for engaging with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tier resources for technical issue resolution
Responsible for engaging clients and partner organizations
Responsible for sending e-mail and text pages to personnel with outage information and updates
Responsible for running outage teleconference bridges effectively and professionally
Responsible for completing daily / nightly NOC check lists and turn over documents
Responsible for taking customer calls and working with them to understand technical related issues
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (2 Years’ Experience In Each)
Understanding of web based technologies, software, and database services
Good knowledge and experience with the Internet Protocol (IP) suite is essential
A first-hand working knowledge of network monitoring tools
Desired: general knowledge of trouble-ticketing database systems for Incident, Service, and Change Management requests
General understanding of networking technologies
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (virtual machines, networks, etc.)
Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively document issues from inception to conclusion
Excellent customer care skills including experience taking customer related technical calls
Previous networking experience in NOC / NCC environment
Experience In Network & server monitoring Azure Servers VM ware servers Networking Devices- ASA-Firewall, Router, Switches SQL / Oracle Database server
