Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for the post of “Occupational Therapist” on contract basis for the project titled “A comprehensive framework for treatment of impairement of upper extremity due to stroke by combining computational modeling and virtual reality” under the guidance of Dr. P.R Srijithesh, Additional Professor of Neurology & Principal Investigator.

Minimum Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Occupational Therapist is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

a) Working understanding of computers.

b) Knowledge of one or more programming language (to be indicated specifically at the time of Recruitment)

c) Good communication skills in English and Kannada

Salary Structure: 35,000/- per month (consolidated)

Work Location: NIMHANS, Bengaluru

Position Summary: The study is a randomised control trial of efficacy of virtual reality based gaming in stroke survivors with impairement of upper limb. The candidate need to recruit patients, assess disability using the scales described in the study and administer the video games for multiple sessions for a period of 3 months. The candidate would be responsible for documentation and follow-up of the patients during the study.

Duration of Project: 36 months Initial appointment will be made for a period of six months and will be extended further depending upon the performance of the candidate
