Team: Puppet/OpenStack SRE
Team Description
The SRE team within Hosting Integration Services team of Technology Infrastructure LOB in Wells Fargo Bank (WFB) looks after the automated cloud instance provisioning and Puppet/OpenStack platform management functions of Wells Fargo's internal private IaaS infrastructure offerings.
RoleDescription
The SREs in our team build solutions to enhance availability, performance and stability of WFB's internal private cloud services, and automate repetitive work.Our SREs also respond to pings, pages and alerts to investigate issues in our products/platforms. They work on both, non-production and production environments.The job duties involve: (this is a non-exhaustive list)- Monitoring incidents and failure patterns

- Disaster recovery planning
- Capacity engineering
- Reliability improvement
- Performance and optimization
- Platform automation
The SREs use/develop cutting edge solutions for monitoring and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the entire production infrastructure.Some Attributes That We Are Looking For
- Provide attention to incidents according to Service Level Agreements
- Take ownership and accountability for the incident resolution process
- Act as a technical liaison with other teams to evaluate and report bugs
- Participate in training and information sharing activities
- Act as backup for other team members when necessary
