About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Work on gathering and interpreting relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
2. Work on investigating problems, finding root causes, and developing solutions
3. Develop performance reports and distributes them to stakeholders
4. Monitor contract compliance of carriers and other logistics service providers
5. Work on providing analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
6. Work on coordinating delivery schedules and other supply chain activities
7. Work on using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes
8. Work on assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support SCM planning and operations
9. Work on analyzing the movement of goods through the supply pipeline, monitoring current processes, identifying and analyzing gaps, and develop process improvements
10. Work on database management and spreadsheet analysis to help the business increase cash flows, inventory turns, and employee productivity
