Your Role and Responsibilities
Roles:

As Database Administrator, you are responsible for installation, configuration & managing database server and applying security patches & other Patches for upgrading versions of oracle database on different platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the appliance status,customize the status summary and gather information about the hardware status.
• Identify and locate failed hardware components,Diagnose system problems and Configure alert notifications.
• Managing the software updates and firmware upgrades of the componets of the storage appliance.
• Management of Oracle virtual machines achieved using the Oracle VM Manager Web UI (User Interface) and command line.
• Configuring additional storage, creating repositories, and setting up additional networks specifically for the use of virtual machines.
• Should have involved managing and provisioning virtual machines for customers, supporting Oracle Linux/Exadata/ZFS system patching and upgrades, capacity management.
• Monitoring of Operating system, database, security, storage, PCA / ZFS components using Enterprise Manager as a centralized proactive maintenance solution.
• Provide and implement performance and tuning recommendations of all components.
• Backup and recovery strategies
• Experience in configuring and administering OEM for monitoring various components, and perform system administration activities like applying patches, configuring and allocating resources, monitoring the hardware and software components

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Oracle Private Cloud Appliance / Xsigo / ZFS Appliance Expert
• Integration into Converged networks, SAN/NAS/DAS and Backup systems
• Worked in Oracle PCA with Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Experience the architecture of the storage appliance,performing the initial configuration of the Oracle ZFS StorageAppliance.
• Experience in storage appliance setup and cluster configuration.
• Experience in the usage of Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance interface including the BUI and CLI.
• Administer the projects ,shares , LUNs ,snapshots and remote replication.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Manage Oracle VM templates and automation
• Effective Oracle VM backup procedures
• Oracle Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) architecture, cabling, and maintenance
• Administration of Oracle Linux 6.x and 7.x systems
• Monitoring hardware, operating system, and applications
• Oracle X5, X6, X7, and X8 x86 server ILOM commands and hardware maintenance procedures
• Oracle Support procedures and use of MOS
• Applying Oracle critical/ Exadata/ rollup Patch Sets for operating System/ Grid/ ASM/ Infiniband/ Database.
• Capacity to resolve or direct the resolution direction in case real time issues, and able to tune the environment in case of performance issues.
• Coordinate with Oracle Vendor support for Hardware replacements.
• Resource planning and user management
• Ability to lead team in pressure environment within defined KPI/SLA
• Ability to communicate business value and manage client relationships
• Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Relevant Experience: 6 Years +
