Job Description

Main Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide Operating system support and troubleshoot user & client related issues through call/remote & resolve them.
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Perform OS health checkup & share reports with Customer
  • Check log files on daily basis & report critical event occurrence to customer
  • Fix critical OS, security events, good knowledge of VMWare
  • Raising Incident's with 3rd party Operating System Provider for OS bugs & perform remedial steps as provided for resolution
  • Perform OS user account Management(Add, update or removal) as per Customer requirement.
  • Perform routine or on demand patch management of the Servers.
  • Perform OS, file system Backup verification
  • Manage Customer's 3rd party Operating System file system including : modifying file system sizes, disk maintenance activities verifying mount points, repairing defective file system and modifying file system permission on both sites in accordance with Customer's requirement
  • To design, install, and administer virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V) products.
  • Preferable to have exposure on SAN Storage/SAN Switch/Tape library.
  • Regular support of VMware and windows environment by resolving the escalated tickets for the internal and external customer.
  • Perform VMs Back-up on weekly basis & perform restoration in case of recovery required. Perform Identity Management(User Creation, Updating permissions or deletion as per role) on VMs.
  • Work on Service Request(SRs) assigned by the Helpdesk Team & closure within SLA.
  • Follow SLA matrix provided by Customer for all different types of event.
