Job Description:
- Firewall Change Manager Resource
- Location Kochi
- Firewall Change Manager Role Specific Skills
- Accepts, prioritizes, and categorizes firewall change requests.
- Experience on Firemon Security Manager.
- Obtains authorization for submitted firewall change requests from the Chemours stakeholders/Change Authority
- Ensures post review of exception changes to evaluate if the firewall change addressed a real or a perceived exception condition
- Utilizes the Firewall Change Management reporting system to monitor and track changes
- Identifies firewall change requests that have not been acted upon in a timely manner and takes appropriate action
- Ensures that firewall changes are communicated in a timely and adequate manner
- Create and distribute firewall change management reports
- Reviews all implemented changes to ensure that they have been carried out
- Closes firewall change requests, by working along with the implementation team
- Should be ITIL V3 Foundation certified, ITIL intermediate certification will be an added advantage
- Should have sound knowledge of ITSM tools such as Service Now, Easy Vista, CA Service Desk
- Goal 1- Make sure the firewall rules are simplified and 2- That all firewall rules have a EV/Firemon # proving it was installed legally and we have record of the approvals.
Mandatory Role specific skills:
Strong practical knowledge of network concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPN, network protocols, cloud technologies, router & switch configuration, firewall configuration and performance tuning, preferably as an architect / engineer.
Strong Communication Skills:
- Strong knowledge on Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Acting as a Single Point of Contact ( SPOC ) for customer on Firewall Change Management
- Should have good understanding of the organization s firewall security requirements to prioritize s work accordingly
- Collaboration and Coordination with internal (Wipro) and customer teams to process firewall changes
- Managing customer escalations and participating on bridge calls as needed during US business hours
- 8-10 years of overall experience, 6-8 years of Domain specific experience
- Presenting weekly, monthly analysis for monthly reporting and SLAs
- Ability to accurately define a client issue and interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge
- Knowledge of industry best practices and Guidelines for Enterprise Security
- Knowledge of ITSM knowledge (Service Desk, Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management)
- Mandatory certifications: Any Firewall certification, ITIL certification
- Add on certifications: Certification in other Network security technologies, CISSP, PMP, SABSA, TOGAF etc.
