Job Description
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Need someone with Min of 3 years of experience in Payroll field. To ensure success as a payroll officer, you should have detailed knowledge of accounting and payroll procedures, familiarity with labor legislation, and advanced mathematical skills.
A skilled Payroll Officer should be able to process payment checks on time and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages and reporting on this
Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
Resolving payroll discrepancies
Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
