Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Processes the company's payroll every pay period
  • Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
  • Computes employee take-home pay based on-time records, benefits, and taxes
  • Answers staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time recordsReceives and coordinates requests for leave and other absences
  • Handles changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles
  • Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant law
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
  • Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed
  • Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
  • PF, ESIC monthly challans and mediclaim insurance enrollment
  • Keep track of hourly rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
  • Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.

Requirements
  • Proven 3+experience as a payroll specialist.
  • Proven experience in statutory compliance and Taxation.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
  • Outstanding organisational ability with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • CA or Accounting Professional Preferred.
