Responsibilities:
1. As Personal Assistant to the Principal you are her ambassador, and will be expected to act with intelligence, courtesy and discretion accordingly.
2. To plan, coordinate and ensure the Principal’s schedule is fit for purpose.
3. To support the Principal in readiness for meetings by summarising or reviewing
documentation, and coordinating paperwork for meetings which may mean chasing it from
colleagues.
4. Providing a ‘gatekeeper’ and ‘gateway’ role for direct access to the Principal’s me, as
appropriate.
5. Closely working with the Principal ensuring timely notice is given of all upcoming
commitments and responsibilities and to follow-up appropriately, including the preparation
of briefing papers and research.
6. To act as a ‘barometer’; having an excellent sense for the issues taking place across the Trust
and wider external context, and in turn keeping the Principal updated.
7. To prepare notices of meetings and agenda papers; minute taking, production and
distribution of minutes.
8. Building relationships crucial to the success of the Trust.
9. To deal with Parent/Carer and other external stakeholder queries – especially in the absence
of the Principal and decide how to screen telephone calls, enquiries and requests and handle
them or delegate to others as appropriate using discretion.
10. To welcome and look after external visitors on behalf of the Principal to ensure the schools
are an environment that represents high standards as well as that refreshments are available.
11. To work effectively with colleagues to achieve the aims and objectives of the Trust.
12. To attend appropriate meetings with, or in place of the Principal, in order to facilitate and
record as appropriate (by agreement with Principal).
13. To ensure appropriate systems and processes are developed and maintained to support the effective and efficient day to day running of the Principal’s office.
14. Organising and filtering inbound emails ensuring high priority and critical subject matter is
promptly raised to the Principal.
15. To maintain an awareness of how the Principal, key stakeholders and the organisaons are
represented in media and advise accordingly.
16. To carry out a range of additional dues that may arise from me-to-me in accordance with
the nature of the role.
17. From me to me to support the Principal with personal administration.
