Ph.D Admissions - 2019-20 Conducts Gandhigram Rural Institute

Qualification : Candidates (Indian / Foreigner) who have studied under 10+2+3+2 years or 10+2+5 years or 11+1+3+2 or 10+2+3+3 or 10+2+4+2 pattern of education and qualified for the award of the Master‟s Degree in the relevant discipline at Gandhigram Rural Institute – Deemed University (GRI-DU) or any other university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in the relevant discipline with not less than 55% marks. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, shall be allowed for those belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) / Differently Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master‟s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

Candidates should qualify in the entrance test conducted by GRI in accordance with provisions laid down under section 5 of this regulation.

Candidates qualified in the UGC - JRF / NET / GATE / CSIR / ICAR / ICSSR or obtained M.Phil in the relevant PG discipline will be allowed to appear for the interview directly.

2. North and North Eastern region - Rs.1000 (other than southern States)
