Job Description
- Understand the prescription and ensure that the prescription is from the hospital with appropriate signature of the doctor.
- Bill the customer without any error using uwin and scan the prescription
- Identify the correct tubes, stick barcodes and emergency sticker, if required
- Update sample collect in attune
- Dispose the waste in the appropriate dust bins for segregation
- Check the temperature in ice box and Hand over the sample to the ILD
- To ensure hygiene collection of samples.
- To ensure timely dispatch of samples to respective labs.
- To ensure proper waste segregation as per norms.
- Is responsible to ensure that phlebotomist follows all the sample collection protocols and other laboratory activities.
- Inform about any emergency samples to ILD
- Write in the register - patient info and test info
- Print the reports, issue reports to customer and follow up of pending reports with the lab
- Track inventory - test tubes and other consumables in a register. Identify any expired or damaged inventory and avoid using them. Inform the operations executive / inventory executive for replacement
- Request for stock at appropriate time and avoid stock outs
- Co-ordinate with doctors and staff nurse, register complaints if any and resolve with the support of lab
- Basic trouble shooting of application and hardware (printer)
- Knowledge of raising helpdesk
- Know the contact points for escalation and resolution
