Key duties include using order forms or scanners to locate and pick items, performing quality control, and preparing packages by labeling and adding protective materials. This role is vital for supply chains and requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.  

Core responsibilities

• Picking:

  Accurately retrieve products from warehouse stock based on order specifications, which may involve using handheld scanners or digital lists. 

• Packing:

  Securely pack items into containers, using protective materials as needed, and attach the correct shipping labels and documentation. 

• Quality control:

  Inspect products for any defects or damage before they are packed and shipped. 

• Order management:

  Compare invoices to received items and maintain records of completed orders, reporting any discrepancies. 

• Warehouse organization:

  Keep the workspace clean and organized to ensure efficient workflow and maintain inventory accuracy. 

• Equipment operation:

  Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts or automated systems, depending on the role and training. 

• Safety compliance:

  Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
