TERI is a 30+-year-old research organization working in the areas of energy, environment, and sustainable development. We are headquartered in Delhi at India Habitat Center with an employee strength of over 900 professionals, who undertake projects and research assignments in a variety of areas like rural electrification, climate change, water & natural resources, social transformation, renewable energy (solar, wind, thermal),and industrial energy efficiency.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Collect data from secondary sources (peer review journals and other relevant sources)
2. Compile data collected for the research
3. Work on basic data analysis in Microsoft Excel
4. Assist with performing key person interviews (KPIs) and focussed group discussions (FGDs) with key stakeholders in the plastics value chain
5. Prepare minutes of meeting for all FGDs and KPIs
6. Fill data gaps where relevant with primary information collected during FGDs and KPIs

Note: The Centre for Waste Management (CWM) at TERI works on regulatory and policy issues with respect to climate linkages of waste management. It has worked with the government to prepare effective plastic waste management plans by monitoring environmental conditions and health status in selected waste plastic recycling units in the city and it provides recommendations for effective management.
