Job Description

Advertisement Number: P.Rect./R&D/2020/52

Applications are invited for two post Project Post doctoral Fellow positions in the sponsored project "Development of Linear Scaling DFT" by Dr. Nisanth N. Nair (Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur).

The work involves development of density functional theory based methods and programs.

We are also looking for talented candidates with previous experience in at least one of the following areas: a) Development of Numerical Methods and programs b) Experience in using Density Functional Theory Methods

The appointment is purely temporary and on contractual basis.

Essential Qualification: PhD

Desirable Experience:a) Previous experience in: Numerical Methods/Programming OR Density functional theory methods (application/development) b) Good programming knowledge using any one of the following languages: FORTRAN, C, C++

Consolidated Salary: Rs. 50,000/55,000/60,000 pm (depending on the previous experience)

Duration of the post: One year, from March 01, 2020. There is possibility to the position for another 1 year or more (depending on the fund availability).
