Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the temporary position of Post-Doctoral Fellow to work in the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA 2.0) sponsored thematic research project “Component 10: Research, Innovation and Quality Improvement” - Social Sciences in the Department of Economics, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli -620 024.

1. Name of the Post : Post-Doctoral Fellows (PDFs)

2. No. of Post: 2

3. Area of work : WASH – Identifying Economics and Human Development Indicators- Challenges and Strategies

4. Duration : 2 Years The position is purely temporary, with an initial appointment for one year, and extendable to one additional year. The position is co-terminus with the project.

5. Qualifications: M.A. / M.Phil in Economics / Econometrics with minimum of 60 % marks / CGPA 6.1 and above Ph.D in Economics / Econometrics

6. Preferred: Analytical Skills to analyse both quantitative & qualitative data Good communication skills Proficiency to read & write in Tamil & English Typing higher/lower (both English & Tamil) Knowledge in DTP works, Digital Data feeding, processing, analysis Independent in co coordinating with Project Fellows.

7. Age Limit : Upper age limit 40 years (Relaxation in age: 5 years for SC/ ST)

8. Fellowship : Rs. 47,000/-pm (consolidated)
