1. Name of the Post: Post-doctoral Research Associate

2. Required Qualification: Ph.D. from a reputed Institute or University in India or abroad, specializing in data science and artificial intelligence (defined broadly). Publications in peer-reviewed journals are preferred. Candidates who have defended their dissertation are eligible to apply. Candidates need to submit proof of defence at the time of application, and the Ph.D. degree certificate at the time of joining the institute. In exceptional circumstances, candidates who have not defended their dissertation are also eligible to apply under the condition that they will defend their thesis within six months of joining the institute.

3. Remuneration: Around INR 75,000/- to 85,000/- per month. The compensation can be increased for exceptional candidates. They are eligible for office space and desktop computer. However, the institute would not provide accommodation.

4. Job Description: Post-Doctoral Research Associates are expected to independently carry out cutting-edge research on topics/themes that are aligned with the centre’s vision, for instance, operations research and optimization, statistics, machine learning, graph theory and networks, with applications in the areas of finance, operations, marketing, economics, etc. The Research Associates are expected to publish high-quality peer-reviewed journal articles out of research conducted at the Brij Disa Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and present work in national and international conferences. Research Associates may collaborate with an IIMA faculty but must be able to demonstrate independent thinking and be able to independently design and conduct original research.
