Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE),Manipal invites applications from eligible candidates
for a limited number of vacancies at the level of Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, Assistant Professor and
Associate Professor in the field of Chemistry at the Manipal Centre for Natural Sciences (MCNS),Centre
of Excellence, Manipal, a constituent unit of MAHE, Manipal.
Faculty
Eligibility:
A minimum of 3 years' post-doctoral experience at a reputed institution together with an excellent
publication record is a pre-requisite for the post of Assistant Professor. Applications for earlier carrier
faculty positions are preferred from candidates who apply within 5 years from the date of their PhD was
awarded.
All appointments are commensurate with experience.
Applications highlighting teaching experience at the post graduate level within a research environment
will be accorded additional weightage.
Post Doctoral Fellows
Eligibility:
Exceptional candidates who wish to work independently in any of the subject areas listed are invited to
apply for Post-doctoral positions. Highly motivated recent PhD graduates are encouraged to apply.
Applications received within 4 years of graduating with a PhD degree will be considered.
Chemistry:(1) Theoretical and computational chemistry (2) Atmospheric chemistry (3) Isotope geochemistry
(4) Study of origin of elements in the solar system (5) Theoretical and experimental nuclear and radio
analytical chemistry (6) Design and synthesis of molecular machines (7) Foundations of Chemistry.
Candidates with demonstrated expertise in conceptualising and attempting challenging problems in the
fundamental domain with well-rounded expertise in two or more of the following:
R&D in the development of advanced instrumentation and experimental techniques, quantitative and
computational skills, mathematical modelling on a parallel computing platform will be preferred.
