Postdoctoral Fellow position in J.C. Bose Fellowship Award to Prof. Sourav Pal

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in a Project J.C. Bose Fellowship Award to Prof. Sourav Pal. The position is funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB),Govt. of India. The position will be based at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER-K). Nature of job will involve theoretical and computational chemistry.

The initial appointment will be for a one-year, extendable by one more year based on performance and research interests. Fellowship will be per DST guidelines, which is Rs. 55,000/- per month on consolidated basis. However, Rs. 35,000/- per month on consolidated basis will be given for candidates who have submitted the thesis but degree not awarded.

Qualifications: PhD in Physics/ Chemistry. Candidates who have submitted the thesis and awaiting award of degree may also apply. Consistently good academic record and publication will be preferable for this purpose.

Desirable Experience: Experience of quantum mechanics / quantum chemistry.
