Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow (RA) in the field- of Molecular Systems Immunology and Neuroepigenetics for the project- Center of Excellence in Epigenetics, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR, to work under the supervision of Prof. Sanjeev Galande- Dean, Head, Department of Life Sciences, School of Natural Sciences (SNS).
Fellowship:
Rs. 65,000/- to 75,000/- per month depending upon experience and the selection committee’s recommendation
Minimum qualifications required:
Ph.D. (awarded) in life sciences from a recognized university/institute with a consistent academic record and relevant research experience as evidenced from thesis work carried out in a reputed scientific institution and/or publications. Work experience must be using any of the following model systems is essential: human/mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells; mouse/rat brain; mouse/human T cells and/or thymocytes. Ph.D. The degree should be awarded no earlier than Dec 2018. Under exceptional circumstances, candidates who have submitted thesis or freshly received their PhDs may be considered.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with transgenic and knockout animals would be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with advanced molecular biology techniques including quantitative RT-PCR, ChIP, and NGS library preparation.
- Practical experience in confocal microscopy and flow cytometry/or NGS analysis will be a useful qualification.
- Candidates should have published at least one first-author article in a peer-reviewed journal in relevant fields.
Duration of the Project: A total of three years, subject to the annual evaluation of the satisfactory performance of the incumbent.
