About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Design and test electric drive subsystems including battery management, motor controllers, DC-DC converters, power inverters, etc.
2. Work on the development of an efficient battery management system for the battery pack
3. Design and develop control systems for electric drivetrain subsystems
4. Optimize design for energy efficiency and various performance strategies using simulation tools
5. Prepare complete documentation for all electrical designs, including wiring schematics, bill of materials, assembly drawings
6. Work on the in-house assembling of electrical components for PCB
7. Perform testing and validation of PCBs

Who can apply

2. can start the internship between 1st Feb'21 and 3rd Mar'21

3. are available for duration of 4 months

4. have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements

1. Good understanding of power electronics fundamentals

2. Good understanding of control system development for electric drives

3. Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design, digital and analog electronics

4. Knowledge of converter topologies, switching methods, and control

5. Knowledge of SMPS, DC-DC converters, inverters, electric drives, IGBT, battery charge controller, and battery management system

6. Prior experience in PCB design and layout optimization

7. Modeling, simulation, and analysis experience with tools like Matlab/Simulink

8. Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, and Eagle

9. Should have worked in electro-mechanical projects

10. Active involvement in Formula SAE, Baja, and MotoStudent competition projects will be an added advantage

11. Should be able to adopt a flexible approach to complete workload to ensure delivery within the agreed timeframe
