The Data Protection Group drives the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering delivery of the Veritas products, which includes NetBackup, APTARE, Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV),EV.cloud, eDiscovery platform, and Veritas SaaS Backup.

Qualification And Skills

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Expertise in application development on Linux and Windows
• Experience in C/C++ and Go
• Experience or exposure on Python is a plus
• Experience with cloud-based REST API, such as those of SaaS applications like Office 365 and SalesForce.
• Experience with multi-threaded, asynchronous-task based programming with performance and scale focus
• Experience working with Cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud is a plus
• Experience with Unit Test and Mocking frameworks such as Google Test and NUnit is a plus
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Flexibility to work in any area depending upon the need
• Quick learner and can do attitude
• Team player and good at collaboration
• 8 -12 years of experience in software design, development and maintenance
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, should be self-motivated
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high quality software
• Participate in design discussions, build prototypes and contribute to deliver high quality products/features
• Anticipate problems and future technical needs and takes necessary corrective steps to ensure they are addressed
• Work with customer support to resolve customer issues
• Develop and maintain automation
• Mentor junior members or act as team lead
• Collaborate across geographies and teams
