Principal Managed NAND Competitive Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Investigate and research the different aspects of performance, power, latency, QOS, internal firmware architecture and FTL algorithms, package and overall cost
Analyze and figure out key strengths of competitors devices
Work with the Business Units and our Ecosystem team to study the market and identify the competitors parts per project
Acquire and maintain an inventory of competitor parts
Identify and acquire the latest test platforms and benchmarking tools
Develop and manage data storage and reporting infrastructure for data gathered
Support the System Architecture team in conducting experiments and collecting data
Innovate and develop new dedicated tools for analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

Storage protocols: eMMC, UFS (NVMe optional)
Experience in Managed NAND and/or SSD
Experience in NAND Flash based storage systems
Experience in ASIC/SoC, microprocessor and memory architectures
Demonstrated ability to understand firmware architecture with emphasis on FTL
You have strong communication skills both verbal and written
Highly organized, ambitious, and focused abilities
Ability to work with other engineers across multiple disciplines, as well as customers of various positions
You have experience working with off-shore teams in a multinational environment
You possess a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or an equivalent required
