Applications are invited for the following temporary posts for the project on “Monitoring of Maintenance Dredging at Outer Channel and Inner Harbour area and Bathymetry surveys at channels of Cochin Port” in the Dept. of Ocean Engineering, IIT Madras.

Principal Project Officer/Junior Executive /Junior Technician/Office Assistant

1. Principal Project Officer/01 Post

Qualification: a). Ph.D. (Civil / Ocean Engineering/ related discipline with seven years’ experience. (OR) b) M.E / M.Tech (Civil /Ocean Engineering / related discipline with ten years’ experience. 01

Pay Scale :Rs. 48,000/- pm to Rs. 2,25,000/- pm

2 Project Officer/01 Post

Qualification: a) M.E / M.Tech (Civil /Ocean Engineering / related discipline with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and above. (OR) b) B.E / B.Tech (Civil /Ocean Engineering / related discipline with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and above with two years’ experience.

Pay Scale : Rs. 27,500/-pm to Rs. 1,00,000/- pm

3 Project Associate /01 Post

Qualification: B. Tech / B.E (Civil Engineering/ Master’s degree in maths /Physical Oceanography/any other relevant discipline with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and above. 03 Rs. 21,500 /- pm to Rs.75,000 / -pm

4 Senior Executive /01 Post

Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Arts/ Humanities/ IT with five years’ experience

Pay Scale : Rs. 17,000/- pm to Rs. 75,000/-pm

5. Junior Executive /01 Post

Age: 28 (UR) 30 (Reserved category)

Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Arts/ Humanities/ IT

Pay Scale: Rs. 16,000/-pm to Rs. 50,000/-pm

6 Junior Technician /03 Posts

Age: 28 (UR) 30 (Reserved category)

Qualification: Diploma in Civil/ relevant Engineering field / ITI in Civil/ relevant Engineering with three years’ experience.

Pay Scale : Rs. 16,000/- pm to Rs. 38,000/- pm

7. Office Assistant /02

Age: 28 (UR) 30 (Reserved category)

Qualification: SSLC

Pay Scale : Rs. 13,000/- pm to Rs. 25,000/-pm

Desirable: Candidates should have an interest in working in the field of wave hydrodynamics and coastal engineering. Exposure to numerical modeling/ computer programming/ physical model testing is preferred. Two years of working experience in relevant discipline of ocean/ coastal engineering are preferred.
