Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) invites application for the position Principal Student Activity & Sports Officer

Pay Level (as per 7 CPC): Pay Level 14 [PB-4 & GP Rs 10000]

Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Physical Education or Master's Degree in Sports Science with at least 60% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / Institute; ) Record of having represented the University / College at the inter - University / Inter - collegiate competitions or state and / or national championships; ) Qualifying in the national - level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC and passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these regulations. Record of organizing such events as student's convener or in later part of life.

Experience: holding analogous post or With at least 15 years service in post as SAS Officer or equivalent out of which 3 years should be as Senior SAS Officer in PB-4 with GP of Rs.8700/- or AGP of Rs.9000/-.

Desirable: Experience in guiding group of students in creative activities. Candidate with higher degree (Ph.D. equivalent) in a relevant Discipline shall be preferred. Record of strong involvement and proven track record of participation in sports and drama / music / films / painting / photography / journalism / event management or other student activities during college / University studies.

Classification: Group A

Age Limit: Upper Age Limit: 35 - 56 years

Application Fees: Applicants belonging to UR, EWS, OBC (Non-creamy layer) category shall be required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1000 (Rupees One Thousand only). The SC, ST, PwD and Female candidates are exempted from payment of processing fees.

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat is one of the 17 Regional Engineering Colleges that were established as joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat. It was established in June 1961 with facilities to run Bachelor's Degree Programmes in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering disciplines. It is now changed to National Institute of Technology along with other RECs.
