Department Description

The department supports the UK & Global Workplace Investing business. Fidelity’s Global Workplace Investing (WI) business offers retirement provision to companies and their employees worldwide. This comes in the form of retirement-related savings and investments. It focuses on ways to strengthen and unify Fidelity’s Defined Contribution (DC) retirement offering across geographies exploring ways to meet the needs of multi-national corporations.

Fidelity recognises this significant opportunity & team is responsible to manage Target Operating model for Operations keeping in mind customer journey for both employees and plan sponsors. Team also provides support to Client facing project and Service delivery leads

  • Purpose of your role

    The objective of this role is to provide the best possible service to our customers by responding appropriately to the changing regulatory framework and business priorities. By virtue of having in-depth knowledge of all related aspects of the process within the business area, an individual in this role as Process Specialist would be able to define and support customer centric solutions as well as meet all expected and defined deadlines within agreed service standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    • By virtue of having depth knowledge of the process/procedures/systems and related departments, the individual is able to act as a SME for the WI contributions and scheme set up workshops with product and Aquila teams
    • Individual understands, articulates and implements best practices related to their process/tasks
    • Review process issues and provide appropriate recommendation which leads to scalable and practical solutions that can be integrated with the current practices and regulations.
    • Assist in preparing processes & procedures in line with target operating model of WI Strategy
    • Coordinate and represent the department in various Fidelity wide projects and other departmental initiatives
    • Can perform and co-ordinate the entire gamut of UAT testing/Regressions/Health checks for RAS releases and system enhancements
    • Develop a complete understanding of all regulatory/risk/controls aspect of the department
    • To be able to provide training to new joiners, mentor the senior associates of the team
    • Communicate effectively across all levels

      Experience And Qualifications Required

    • Knowledge of UK/Europe financial services industry and UK Pensions is a must.
    • Detailed Understanding of regulatory bodies and framework within UK pensions.
    • At least 18 months of relevant experience as an Senior associate with sufficient exposure in handling client instructions and managing process priorities.
    • Prior UK Pensions Knowledge would be an added advantage.
    • Good knowledge of systems used in FIL, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Prior experience of working in project environment would be an added advantage.
    Ability to multi task effectively, plan, organize and prioritize work.
