Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Procurement Process Architect drives all procurement process activities and coordinates the process team during Transition phase of our BPO IPS Outsourcing assignments. You will be supporting procurement of a global client for multiple countries.

IBM Procurement Services (IPS) delivers Source-to-Procure process expertise to IBM’s external clients as a world-class business process outsourcing provider. As a IPS Process Architect you will be responsible for designing and documenting the To-Be process for new IPS outsourcing contracts. This is an external client-facing / consulting role that requires travel to client office locations.

Primarily you will work with Operations Buyers, Client procurement organization, Country Sourcing buyers/Tactical buyers, Suppliers, Requesters, Accounts payable, Management (Direct),Team leaders

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation and prioritization of business processes for offshore service delivery
  • Interface with client teams to evolve a suitable process design and perform Due Diligence for process transition
  • Business Analysis and structuring/re-engineering and designing the procurement processes to make them suitable for offshore delivery
  • Business Process Mapping and Creation of “to be“ process flows & Maps and Develop Desktop Procedures using the solutioned procurement tool ( Ariba / SAP / Coupa etc.)
  • Create Workstream plan
  • Perform knowledge transfer and training of the IBM Delivery team on the future state process design as agreed with the client and business stakeholders.
  • Manage the relationship with the client process teams
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Procurement Outsourcing experience including vendor negotiation
  • Possess semi-technical and complete functional knowledge and analysis of various procurement applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
  • Experience in Procurement Process and/or System design and implementation is key.
  • Knowledge of procurement process as implemented on the IBM P2P solution, and the general IBM Procurement process is key.
  • Detailed understanding of the P2P, E-Sourcing and Helpdesk application deliverables, along with related integrated process is expected
  • Understands the full end to end client process in order to explain IBM’s P2P process, identify gaps, and then drive adoption of the IBM P2P process to reduce gaps.
  • Client facing role and Proven communication/soft skills are a requirement
  • Participates as needed in all phases of system design with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
  • Applies principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, and ability to arrive at automated solutions.
  • Ability to provide advice on policy doctrine.
  • Ability to provide regular technical presentations to prospective clients.
  • Comprehensive commercial procurement and client facing or consulting experience
  • Ability to manage buying projects
  • Preferred experience either in tactical buying or sourcing
  • Knowledge of procurement shared service delivery model
  • 6 Sigma Green Belt Certification is a strong plus
  • Candidate should be proficient in MS Office, MS Visio, Blueworks Live
  • Flexible work schedule will be required – the individual must be willing to work on client time zone.
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
  • This is a client-facing role and proven communication/soft skills are a requirement
  • Flexible to work in any shifts
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Preferred experience in procurement operations, sourcing process knowledge, Ariba / COUPA / SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • College Degree or equivalent work experience required—preferably in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and/or related field
