Elevate is recruiting a
Procurement Analyst to work closely with the on-shore Procurement Manager and our customer, a prestigious Australian law firm, to generate and sustain savings across all indirect spending areas. Leverage Elevate knowledge, experience and resources to reduce category spend, mitigate risk and provide procurement expertise to our customer. Develop partnerships with vendors and customers that enables innovative solutions that generate savings and/or other value add while anticipating future customer needs.

- Business knowledge of products and processes of assigned LOB customers
- Commodity knowledge: Understands cost drivers, major vendors, and trends
- Knowledge of auditing / compliance policies, procedures / guidelines
- Knowledge of legal and contract management
- General business knowledge of Legal Industry
- Ability to effectively communicate and work directly work with customers
- Proven ability to work in a customer-centric, deadline driven environment
- Have excellent customer service skills with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to analyse and organise work for maximum efficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills, focused on supporting your customers’ needs
- Ability to present well on the phone and in virtual conference calls
- Understand how to make processes more efficient
Specifically, This Role Will
- Provide information of value to the organization – Overall Spending via a Spend Cube. Understanding the buying patterns in the organization to identify opportunities for immediate and ongoing savings
- Work at the direction of the on-shore manager to ensure the following items actions are delivered in a seamless manner to the customer.
- Monitor and improve procurement with recurring vendors. Improving data flows and identifying and reducing errors in billing
- For non-recurring vendors, work to reduce spending and improve services. Understand
what’s driving the use of non-recurring vendors. Can these needs be met using vendors with contract in place? - Generate savings through improving the customer’s tactical buying processes
- Monitor Savings Results for rate and volume (Price * Quantity) compliance. Regularly report results to management, including any actions required on their part
- Contract Management. Review contracts for omissions. Make recommendations on how to improve the contracts to reduce omissions moving forward. Negotiate improvements on contracts with vendors, when directed by the customer.
- Become knowledgeable on all procurement tools used by the customer
- Work as a seamless team with the onshore manager
- Customer Relationship Management: Regularly report to Elevate team and Governance Group (COO, CIO, Finance, other stakeholders) on errors and omissions; completed and planned activities; results to date; expected results; and additional support needed
- Vendor Relationship Management. Manage relationship with vendors touched by these activities, with a focus on vendors representing the top 80% of spending
Essential Experience And Skills
- 3-5 years of related experience in procurement, accounting and analytics (desired)
- Excellent track record in previous customer support/customer service engagements
- Experience working directly with US, UK, or Australia based customers
Technical Skills
- Experienced in Microsoft Products like MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint (basic to medium level)
- Sourcing and Procurement tools
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree is a must, Master’s degree preferred
