Job Description

The Government of Assam (GoA),with financing and technical support from the World Bank, is preparing a project titled “Assam Integrated River Basin Management Project (AIRBMP)”

1 Procurement Specialist/ 1 (one)

▪ B.E./ B.Sc. in Civil Engineering/ Postgraduate in Procurement/ Supply Chain Management/ Law/ Business Administration or other relevant subjects like Economic/ Accounting/ Finance from any Govt. recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks. ▪ Minimum 10 years of postqualification experience in public procurement or project management of which minimum 5 years of experience in working with government projects/ multi-lateral agencies. ▪ Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Assamese.

Rs. 100,000 – Rs. 120,000

About Company

The Brahmaputra Basin in Assam consists of large tracts of land which are affected by high flood and river bank erosion posing major threat to life, crop and development. The water Resources Department, (WRD), Govt. of Assam has been addressing various mitigation measures to reduce the impact of flood and riverbank erosion on the habitation in these areas. Due tolimited availability of financial resources, WRD has been constrained to restrict its interventions to short term measures only in areas which need immediate attention.
