What we do?
Product Management is one of six functions within the Global Data Office. We are the tip of the spear that works with business stakeholders and executive leadership to develop our data solutions portfolio, strategic roadmap, prioritization and facilitate the delivery of these data solutions to the business. In addition to establishing the GDO’s body of work, the Product Management team is also responsible for the implementation and management of Scaled Agile (SAFe) within the GDO and more broadly across the business.
The Product Management team is comprised of a fearless and strategic group of product managers, scrum masters and business analysts. As a member of GDO Product Management team, you will be creating and prioritizing the strategic roadmap for our Data Management value stream. As such you will work with our product owners and business stakeholders to create a portfolio of data management solutions, leverage tools like Aha! and Jira to plan and execute the strategic roadmap, utilize SAFe ceremonies and practices, and use your excellent communication skills to collaborate internal and external stakeholders. Our vision is to enable business transformation by accelerating time to insight leveraging SAFe!
What You’ll Do?
Candidates who thrive in this role need to be exceptionally well-rounded, flexible, and driven. Having a strategic approach to produce well thought-out and business driven solution portfolios and roadmaps as well as strong collaboration skills to partner cross-functionally with product owners, scrum masters, business analysts and business stakeholders. This role also requires a high degree of flexibility and nimbleness to adjust to changing business priorities and having the strategic mind to re-prioritize solution releases to meet changes in business needs.
The role requires the knowledge of enterprise data warehouse and data management initiatives such as master data management, data compliance, data catalog, data dictionary and SDEM. Experience creating and managing a portfolio of products / solutions, executing these solutions using Jira and SAFe SDLC. In addition, using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you will drive the communication with internal organizations. This role also requires a high degree of flexibility and nimbleness to adjust to changing business priorities and having the strategic mind to re-prioritize solution releases to meet changes in business needs
What is required?
- General knowledge of two of the following domains: Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Management and product management area and business operations.
- Experienced in participating in projects to induce change
- Proven problem-solving capabilities
- Aware of principles of strategy
- Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand
- Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups
- Ability to provide FANATICAL experience.
Who we need?
- Bachelor’s Degree
- SAFe Agilist Certification
- 2-4 years of relevant industry experience in product management roles
- Proficiency using Jira, Aha!, Smartsheet, Sharepoint and Confluence
- Exceptional team collaboration skills with the ability to work in matrix organizations and influence people
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Solid time management and organizational skills. Able to work independently under pressure in time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
- Creativity and critical thinking to go beyond current tools to deliver the best solution
