EzyAgric jobs - Product Manager

We are looking for a talent that will:

·      Take a leadership role in customizing EzyAgric for the Indian Market. This involves among others research, user meet up as well as responding to user specific issues related to the app, leading to the overall efficiency of the product management in India.

·      Manage day-to-day execution of all product activities for the purpose of meeting the product and business goals in India

·      Play a leading role in evaluating market trends, product industry, and competition strategies from which he can make recommendations on product pricing and positioning

·      Collaborate on developing product strategy and roadmap based on user needs and strategic opportunities. He/she is the voice of the user within the company through research and regular interaction with users.

·      Manage and responds to user feedback to direct better user experience.

·      Be responsible for designing marketing material for the app in collaboration with K+S India and EzyAgric home office in Uganda

·      Be responsible for coordinating the development & dissemination of a constant stream of digital content, including videos & infographics on best agricultural practice

·      Coordinate the local App marketing communications, events, demos, and launches. A combination of above-the-line & below-the-line marketing would be used here.

·      Perform engineer or designer skills assessment with whatever tools or stack you want to use is a plus.

• Be out in the field a lot – at farmers gardens, stockists/ agro-dealers’ and other agribusinesses for better understanding of our users and how we can serve them.

You need to be able to fit in at the farm one day, then the next have a meeting with the CEO of an Agro dealer shop.

• Critical thinking, high level of self-supervision as well as sense of ownership to everything done.

• Strong sense of design around how things can and should work to make a system intuitive and delightful for its users

• Strong problem solving skills, makes trade-offs to maximize user value with the least amount of work.

• Passionate about solving the gap that leaves millions of farmers unable to utilize the benefits of digitization for agriculture.

• Dive deep into becoming a subject matter expert in the company around how farmers and agribusiness digitization works and how our users think

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

A Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science or another technical discipline, with 8-12 years of experience in the high tech product development space; OR a strong MBA with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the high tech product development space. High tech (IT) experience is mandatory. Experience in the mobile app space is a plus.

·      Digital marketing experience. This includes digital content creation & dissemination via Social Media or SEO.

·      Project management & coordination experience

·      Experience in commercialising & scaling of web or mobile apps

·      Proficiency in Hindi; proficiency in Gujarati, Marathi, or Chhattisgarhi is a plus

·      Experience at this intersection of agriculture & technology is a plus; experience working with farmers is also a plus
