Overall Purpose Of Job

UnitedLex is seeking a curious, growth-minded Product Manager to support the Intellectual Property business unit who will be responsible for the features roadmap, implementation and support of a new software product, ensuring alignment with customer, company and business unit goals.This passionate problem-solver will be under the direction of the Senior Product Manager, IP and responsible for seeking feedback from customers, supporting cross-functional teams, and coordinating key activities like: defining business objectives, market and competitive analysis, technology stack evaluation, aligning customer needs to the software development life cycle and product support.

Requirements & Competencies

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing software products and taking them to market
• Knowledge of technology platforms, data flow, and analytics; emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics and Power Apps
• Demonstrates past success of extracting business requirements from stakeholders and managing expectations
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical individuals to solve complex business problems; balances the needs of both customers and ULX to create a vision of technical and process-driven solutions
• Strong ability to use sensemaking to gather disparate feedback from customers, vendors, partners, and the market in order to translate them into an actionable features roadmap
• Experience in cloud services, cloud first development specifically with the Microsoft suite (e.g. MS Azure, MS Dynamics, MS Power Apps and Office 365 Apps)
• Experienced in microservices architecture, APIs and API management (Dell Boomi, Salesforce Mulesoft, etc.)
• Knowledge of software design patterns, development frameworks, agile scrum methodology, and DevOps
• Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task with good decision-making, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, business, computer science, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required
  

Responsibilities

• Manage the features and roadmap for a software product supporting the Intellectual Property business unit
• Lead (through influence) a cross-functional team to deliver product releases on time, within budget and meeting stakeholder requirements
• Conduct market and competitive research to evaluate innovative solutions for existing and new market segments
• Be the primary evangelist for the product; keep key stakeholders appraised throughout all application lifecycle processes and maintain a strong stakeholder feedback loop
• Document detailed business requirements and acceptance criteria for product features
• Develop and maintain the product’s features roadmap and commercial releases
• Support Software Engineering’s ceremonies (sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospective, etc.)
• Collaborate in the creation of testing plans and approve releases through User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Create technical and end user documentation to facilitate the administration, support and use of the products
• Adhere to policies and procedures in support of Information Security controls and audits
• Proactively contribute to a healthy and positive working culture at UnitedLex
