About The Role
Gap Inc. Product Management Team is looking for a highly technical Product Manager to join our Catalog team to drive product vision, strategy and execution of our next generation Catalog Services in the cloud.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for customer delight, command on technology, the power of API’s and a track record of driving teams to build successful products.
E-Commerce is the fastest-growing channel for Gap Inc. and Omni-channel initiatives are key to Gap Inc. strategy: strengthening the relationship our customers have with our brands through integrating the digital and physical shopping experience.
Partnering with technical, strategy and brand teams, the Product Management team builds capabilities to support the growth of our eCommerce sites while extending many of these capabilities to our retail stores including Order in Store, Reserve in Store and Find in Store that both delight our customers and provide the company a competitive advantage.
The catalog team is involved in many of these areas, but is primarily responsible for supporting the creation and management of the digital assets that are used across our platforms, channels, and markets. The top the challenge for the team is balancing new development velocity with Product Data API consistency, and improving the architecture to handle the scale of our online, mobile, and store digital transactions.
The Product Manager will work with the extended product team & business stakeholders to identify problems to be solved, quantify the value in solving them, and determine how those problems can be solved via technology. They will consult with domain architects, website business managers, store operations teams, and other Product Managers and then partner with software engineering teams to deliver technology solutions which continuously improve the shopping experiences for our external customers while also providing enhanced capabilities for internal business partners.
We’re seeking a strong technical problem solver with a track record of product innovation, leading complex projects independently and prioritizing features, bug fixes, and technical debt to ensure the health, stability and pace of our catalog services platform.
