Production Division Manager

Description

  • Job location: Odisha, India As the Production Division Manager you ensure a safe, efficient and effective feed production of the feed mill located in Odisha. 
  • You are responsible for the budget and the production in compliance with the safety, health, environment, food safety and quality related standards and regulations. 
  • You lead a team of 2-3 shift supervisors and 70 -100 operators. 
  • As Production Division Manager you report to VP of Feed Operation. 

Major Tasks

  • Develop operational plans and supervise day-to-day operations to achieve production    throughout requirements including work, scheduling, manpower, etc. must identify, align, and provide input to best in class operational practices, utilizing deep technical skills (i.e. production, engineering) and relevant experience to identify/solve problems and recommend/implement operating efficiencies.
  • Integrate performance measurements system and apply operations practices to promote operational efficiencies (i.e. yield optimization, energy conservation, man hour per ton etc).
  • Align and implement process reliability, total productive maintenance and focus improvement in production.
  • Develop methodology for process control (such as scorecard and metrics control, control chart, statistical process control etc).
  • Directly partner with reliability engineering manager to identify opportunities for continuous improvements applicable to production.
  • Develop manpower planning and expense budget
  • Monitor and control production performance records on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Accountable for production staff development and responsible for overall training and on boarding new/transferred employees as well as workforce engagement, recognition, development and coaching.
  • Collaborate with Safety Health and Environment (SHE) to develop and implement the most effective practices for complying with corporate safety policies and procedures. 

Qualifications

  • University/Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering  
  • Minimum 7 years experience in production, supervisor level and up
  • The ability to work effectively with cross-cultural and functional teams 
  • Adaptability to changes, unexpected situations and managing priorities 
  • Strong communication, good interpersonal and coaching skills 
  • Systematic and creative 
  • Problem solving & decision making 
  • Team work
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in in English
