Overview & Responsibilities

Designs and manages solutions using Azure Services and related Cloud technologies. Loads tests customer applications to assist with performance tuning and capacity planning. Contributes to tools that assist in configuration management, deployment and operation of high availability, high-performance applications.

Rackspace's rapidly growing Fanatical Support for Professional Services team is looking to hire Azure Solution Architect with DevOps candidates for the migration of applications/data from any platform into Azure. Migrating an organizations data and applications into the cloud is one of the most important steps in any cloud journey, and Rackspace is looking to add key talent that can deliver efficient and effective migrations for our customers. We pride ourselves on great customer experiences and outcomes, and look for our Rackers to take the same pride in their roles.

Azure Solution Architect will have experience / expertise in the following:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Cloud and Data center migration project as solution architect
In-depth understanding of compute, storage, network components including backup, monitoring and DR environment
Experience and understanding of large-scale applications portfolio in enterprise-wide environment(including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud) required
Deep domain expertise of cloud application development solutions (e.g. IaaS, Serverless, API Management),container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry),continuous integration technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure for DevOps, Chef, Puppet),web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and
design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM, breadth of technical experience, and technical aptitude to learn and adjust to new technologies and cloud trends required

Experience/Education Required

Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent 9+ years in progressively more technical roles in support or IT professional services.
7-12 years' experience working explicitly in or with cloud technologies Azure Certified Solutions Architect
