Professor/ Associate Professor/Assistant Professor recruitment in Management Development Institute (MDI)

Professor(1) Marketing

Qualification: Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in industry/ research/ teaching of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor; ability to interact with a diverse student body and executives; and a record of publications in referred journals, and ability to undertake research independently. She/He should have high research, training and consulting credentials.

Associate Professor(1) Finance & Accounting

Qualification: Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 6 years experience in industry/research/teaching of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor, and ability to interact with a diverse student body and executives, and ability to undertake research independently.

Assistant Professor(2) Strategic Management / IT & Information Management

Qualification: Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 3 years industry/research/teaching experience, and ability to interact with a diverse student body.

Pay Scale : Professor 7 th CPC Pay Matrix Level 14A (1,59,100 – 2,20,200),entry pay at min. of scale may be Rs. 1,59,100 Gross Pay: Rs. 2,54,817/- p.m.

Associate Professor 7 th CPC Pay Matrix Level 13A2 (1,39,600 – 2,11,300),entry pay at min. of scale may be Rs. 1,39,600 Gross Pay: Rs. 2,23,992/- p.m.

Assistant Professor 7 th CPC Pay Matrix Level 12 (1,01,500 – 1,67,400),entry pay at min. of scale may be Rs. 1,01,500 Gross Pay: Rs. 1,69,557/- p.m.

Selection Process: 1. The applications received within the due date will be screened & shortlisted by a Screening Committee.

2. Short-listed candidates will be called for a Seminar presentation followed by interview before the Selection Committee. Presentations will be in their respective research areas of interest or a topic to be given by the MDIM. Normally the Presentation should be limited to 10 - 15 minutes.

3. Presentations/interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held at Kolkata.
