Eligibility

Professor :  1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second or part-ii of the third schedule (other than a licentiate qualification to the Indian medical council act,1956, holders of educational qualification included in part-ii of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section(3) of section 13 of the Indian medical council act,1956. 2. A post graduate degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in part-a of annexure-ii of its equivalent qualification. 3. At least 5 years teaching experience as associate professor.

Desirable : (i) knowledge of customs manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh

Associate Professor :  1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second or part-ii of the third schedule (other than a licentiate qualification to the Indian medical council act,1956, holders of educational qualification included in part-ii of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub- section(3) of section 13 of the Indian medical council act,1956. 2. A post graduate degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in part-a of annexure-ii of its equivalent qualifications. 3. At least 5 years teaching experience as assistant professor failing which 6 years combined experience as assistant professor and lecturer after doing post graduation degree in concerned specialty in any recognized medical college

Desirable : i. Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in particular conditions prevailing in the Pradesh ii. Publication of research papers in the index journals.

Assistant Professor :  1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second or part-i of the third schedule (other than a licentiate qualification to the Indian medical council act,1956,holders of educational qualification included in part-ii of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section(3) of section 13 of the Indian medical council act,1956. 2. A post graduate degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in part-a of annexure-ii of its equivalent qualifications. 3. At least 3 years teaching experience a lecturer/registrar/ demonstrator / resident after doing post graduation in concerned specialty in any recognized medical college.

Tutor/ Senior Resident :-  1st Year Rs.55,000/-, 2nd Year Rs.57,500/- 3rd Year Rs.60,000/-
