Qualification : (i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D in Conservation/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience of Conservation/allied/relevant subject in university/college, and/or experience in research at the university/national level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. (iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching/learning process. (iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulation (July, 2018). OR B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the Conservation / allied / relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Pay Scale : Pay Matrix Rs.1,44,200-2,18,200/- (Level 14, 7th CPC) - Pre-revised Rs.37400- 67000 + AGP 10000/-

Age Limit : Upper age limit is 56 years for deputation.

Finance Officer

Qualification : i) Degree in Commerce from a recognized University ii) At least 7 years experience in finance and accounts in supervisory capacity in Central/State Govt. Offices, Offices of AG/PAO's, Universities, etc. iii) Sound knowledge of financial rules, accounting procedure, preparations of budget and other related matters.

Desirable : Working knowledge of Computer accounting.

Pay Scale : Pay Matrix Rs.56,100-1,77,500/- (Level 10, 7th CPC) - Pre-revised Rs.15600-39100 + GP 5400/-

Age Limit : Upto 35 years (relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST)

The National Museum Institute of the History of Art, Conservation and Museology was formed and registered on January 27, 1989 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and was accorded the status of 'Deemed to be University' on April 28, 1989. Since its inception, the Institute has been one of the leading centres in the country for training and research in the field of art and cultural heritage. The Institute is situated within the premise of the National Museum with an objective that students can have direct exposure to the masterpieces of art and cultural heritage and have easy access to the facilities of the National Museum such as its laboratory, library, storage/reserve collection and technical support sections for a holistic learning.
