Professor /Librarian /Deputy Registrar/Internal Audit Officer job Position in Central University of Karnataka
Professor/ 01 Post
Qualification: An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in relevant discipline and published
work of high quality, and major contribution to the below mentioned thrust areas,
actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of
10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or
experience in research at the University/National level institutions, including
experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and
technology – mediated teaching learning process.
A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API)
based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS),set out in UGC Regulations
in Appendix III.
OR
An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who
has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the relevant Disciplines to
be substantiated by credentials.
Superannuated Professors who are not above 65 years could also be considered for
the post. Re-employment rules of Govt. of India will be admissible .
Age : Not ordinarily below 50 years and maximum upto 65 years as on closing
date of application.
Librarian
Essential qualification : A Master's Degree in Library Science /Information Science / Documentation with at
least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in UGC seven-point scale and a
consistently good academic record.
i. At least 13 years as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or Eighteen
years’ experience as a college Librarian.
ii. Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work.
Desirable qualification :
A M.Phil. / Ph.D. degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation /
Archives and Manuscripts-Keeping.
Age limit for direct recruits: Below 56 years
Age limit for deputation: Below 58 years
Deputy Registrar
Essential qualification:
(i) Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade in a
point scale wherever grading system is followed.
(ii) 9 years’ experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of 6000 and above with
experience in educational administration, or
(iii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of
higher education, or
(iv) 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or an equivalent
post.
Desirable qualification:
Experience in areas like Administration, Academics, Finance, Establishment and
Examination in Central/State Government, Universities and other organizations under
State/Central Government.
Age limit for direct recruits : Not exceeding 50 years
Internal Audit Officer Method of recruitment : Deputation
Grades from which deputation is to be made
Officers belonging to Audit
and/or Accounts Services or other similar services in a Central/State Government
organisation or Autonomous body, holding analogous posts on regular basis;
OR
with 5 years’ regular service in the PB-3 Rs.15600–39100 GP Rs.6600 (Prerevised),preferably possessing the qualification such as CA/CMA/M.Com/MBA
(Finance);
OR
with 8 years’ regular service in the PB-3 Rs.15600–39100 GP Rs.5400 (Prerevised),preferably possessing the qualification such as CA/CMA/M.Com/MBA
(Finance)
Age Limit : Below 58 years
Executive Engineer
Essential qualification :
(i) Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute or
equivalent.
(ii) 7 years’ experience as Assistant Engineer in CPWD/ PWD/
University/Autonomous bodies/ PSUs.
Desirable qualification :
(i) 2 years’ experience as Assistant Executive Engineer in CPWD/
PWD/University/ Autonomous bodies/PSUs. Knowledge of computer aided
Design (CAD) and latest management Technology / other relevant software.

Asst.Librarian
Essential qualification:
(i) A Master’s degree in library science/information science/ documentation
Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a
consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of
library.
(ii) Qualifying in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by the
UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
(iii) However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in
accordance with the “University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards
and Procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree),Regulations 2009, shall be
exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of
NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant
Librarian/College Librarian.
Desirable qualification:
PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent.
Age limit for direct recruits : Not exceeding 40 years
Asst. Registrar
Essential qualifications:
i. Master’s Degree in Public Relations/Mass Communication and Journalism with
at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale.
Or
Master’s degree in any discipline with at lest 55% marks or its equivalent and
P.G. Diploma in Public Relations/Mass Communication and Journalism.
ii. Five year experience as PRO/APRO in any University or a Govt./PSU/Corporate
Sector organization or 5 years experience in the editorial Department/Centre of
any established newspaper, National News Agency, Radio or Television or Film
media.
iii. Good working knowledge of computer applications.

Information Scientist
Essential qualification:
M.E./M.Tech. (Computer Science / Information Technology) or equivalent with 55%
or equivalent grade with two years of relevant experience.
OR B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science / Information Technology)/MCA or equivalent with
55% or equivalent grade with two years of relevant experience.
OR
Master’s degree in Library & Information Science with PG Diploma in Computer
Application with 55% or equivalent grade.
Desirable qualification: 2 years of relevant experience.
Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years
Medical Officer
Essential qualification:
MBBS recognized by Medical Council of India.
Desirable qualification:
i) Post-graduate Medical Qualification from an Institution recognised by the
Medical Council of India.
ii) Relevant working experience of 2 years in Government Hospital or
Hospital recognized by the Government.
Age limit for direct recruits : Not exceeding 45 years
Fee structure: Application fee for General & OBC Candidates : Rs.1000/- . The SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from payment of Application fee.
