Duties Of Position
The person should perform the following in his role:
Build, Lead, Develop, and Manage a team of Component/Compliance Engineers specialized in the Environmental Compliance.
Ensures all Projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's Environmental Regulatory Compliance and Quality
Policies.
Be the primary interface for Environmental Regulatory Compliance Program
Develop sustainable environmental compliance roadmap for regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Proposition 65, etc
Manage and control the bill of materials of different types of products from different customers
Manage collection, scrubbing, transformation and migration of required data from Supply Chain
Manage Reporting, Analysis and Tracking of Banned/Restricted substance in Supply Chain
Manage the Back office support for regulatory queries from Customers and suppliers
Integration of compliance module within existing PLM or ERP Platform
Estimate the Compliance Engineering Effort for small and large programs
Involve in Recruitment
Effective and productive cross-functional team interaction
Timesheet Management of the Team
Conduct periodic training of team members
Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to the Global team
Work closely with the US Team by having regular overlapping calls
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 12 years of experience in Electronics Industry with minimum of 5 years experience in the project/program Management
Supervisory experience with minimum of 15 Engineers in the team
Bachelor/Masters in Electronics/ Electronics and communication/Electrical and Electronics engineering.
Strong knowledge of Environmental Regulatory Compliance such as RoHS 2 - Directive 2011/65/EU, ROHS Amendment 1 Substance
Restrictions – EU Directive 2015/863, REACH – EEA June 2007, Battery Directive – Directive 2006/66/EC, REACH Candidate List –ECHA,
California Proposition 65 – OEHHA, REACH 1907/2006, Industry Substance Restrictions etc
Strong knowledge of component engineering process.
Strong experience in reading the Multi-Level Bill of Materials and Component Datasheets
Strong Knowledge of the Electronic Components and Specifications
Familiarity with the Electronic components part numbering, manufacturers, authorized distributors etc
Demonstrated leadership skill in decision making and problem-solving in the absence of complete or accurate data
Exposure to work on the global environment, the ability to communicate on different levels with good presentation skills
Experience in working with the Quality and Manufacturing Teams
Familiarity with Supply Chain Management Process
Familiarity with the Agile PLM and project management tools like Planview
Excellent Leadership and Verbal/Written English Communication Skills
Familiarity with the Hardware Development Process, Manufacturing Process and ECR Process
Excellent Customer Interaction Skill for technical discussions
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and influence others to accomplish tasks
Detail oriented with good organizational and problem solving skills.
