Cytel jobs - Program Manager

Cytel is looking for an energetic, organized, goal-oriented Program Manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will lead one or more ongoing software product development streams, overseeing successful planning, execution, and delivery. You will outline the program’s goals and objectives while acting as a liaison between the program teams and upper management and executives.

This role is crucial in supporting the product and engineering teams with project leadership for our industry-changing statistical design and analysis tools, and clinical trial optimization software.

Responsibilities Include

• Outline goals and objectives of the program in collaboration with product management, Chief Scientific Officer, engineering and other executive management as appropriate
• Support CTO and VP of Engineering in estimating and implementing program timelines and budgets
• Set program controls, governance, and standards in collaboration with product, IT and engineering leadership
• Monitor multiple project teams through the entire program cycle
• Manage the day-to-day detailed aspects of multiple projects
• Set timelines and due dates
• Coordinate and utilize resources for multiple projects in the program
• Manage and submit program documentation, including status reports
• Communicate with project managers, product owners and engineering leads to address potential risks
• Solve problems and issues
• Track and report on program progress
• Support team to drive to on-time delivery
• Communicate program objectives, goals, and progress to program directors, executives, upper management, team members, and stakeholders
• Evaluate and supervise multiple projects
• Lead and mentor team members
• Prepare and present progress and budget reports to management and stakeholders
• Assist team members and project managers when needed to accomplish team goals
  

Qualifications And Experience

• 5+ years’ previous experience in program management, project management, administration, or related field
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex software projects with success
  

Cytel Prefers These Qualifications

• PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent
• Bachelor’s in computer science, science/engineering, or business
• Proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of program/project management software (Rally/Jira, MS Project)
• Knowledgeable in program management methodology and techniques; performance evaluation and change management principles
• Motivated and organized, able to independently prioritize work and manage time effectively
• Demonstrated capability to learn and grow
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools
• Experience with life sciences, health technology products, or clinical trials
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, both formal and informal
• Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties, including diplomatically and effectively resolving differences, issues and risks
• Ability to travel internationally as needed (after covid-19 issues are resolved)
• Knowledgeable in Agile development methodologies
• Experience with compiling and following strict budgets and timelines
