Responsibilities

Plans and executes individual projects to help GRC business units or functional areas achieve their project goals
Focuses on project results and is accountable for meeting project objectives of scope, schedule, and budget.
Utilizes an appropriate change control process.
Within the existing Program Services project framework, determines (in conjunction with a program or portfolio manager) which methodology is required to effectively manage each project.
Builds a strong relationship with key project stakeholders to understand their project objectives and products/services.
Articulates the project status and outcomes appropriately to all stakeholders, including program or portfolio managers.
Builds a relationship with project vendors, contractors, cross-functional project teams and program/portfolio managers to ensure projects are meeting scope, schedule and budget objectives.
Assists program manager with contract negotiations.
Effectively communicates project plans and provide stakeholders with the appropriate information to make decisions.
Escalates as appropriate so that issues do not impact scope, schedule or budget.
Develops resource estimates, and works with program/project mangers to identify subject-matter-expertise required to effectively manage projects.
Negotiates with resource managers on availability of all needed resources.
Manages project tasks and ensures all necessary artifacts (e.g., charter, operating agreements) are approved and stored.
Understands and applies industry-standard project management and change management best practices to all projects.
Ensures that the team is Identifying all project risks and creating plans to manage (accept, avoid, mitigate, transfer.)
Ensures that all required project artifacts (charter, change requests, etc.) are executed and stored correctly as per Program Services governance guidelines..
Responsible for forecasting and control of the project budget (revenue and costs) to ensure the project realizes the expected financial & business benefits (e.g., revenue, cost savings etc.).
Ensures that project requirements are gathered, documented, and approved as needed.
Provides a monthly (at minimum) status report for each project, reporting on scope, schedule, budget and quality as per the established Program Services metrics.
Identifies and helps remove project roadblocks.
Understands Business Unit requirements and ensures that time logging and capitalizing requirements are met.
Provides performance feedback about project team members to resource managers as requested.
Understand and supports the framework on how projects are prioritized and align to the GRC strategic roadmap. Educating stakeholders on the business value score of their projects.
Ensure projects are closed upon completion (resources released, team celebrations and rewards are requested, lessons learned are conducted, and final status update is produced, etc.)
Supports the broader CIOx organization with on-boarding and off-boarding resources best practices, documenting processes and procedures, administering department tools/technology, and providing governance administration at the direction of the Director, Program Services.

Requirements

A minimum of three years of experience managing transformational change projects such as software product development, CRM s, Handling CRM, Analytics, data management projects, product/service implementation or marketing is a plus.
Bachelor s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; Master s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Ability to anticipate change, face reality, draw conclusions, and swiftly mobilize to adapt to changing needs and demands
Overall intellectual curiosity to identify opportunities and solve problems
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to organize, conceptually interpret and clearly communicate material developed collaboratively and develop actionable next steps
Subject matter familiarity with financial compliance, documents, and transaction processing, risk management as well as Wolters Kluwer products is highly desired.
Strong working knowledge of the major technologies that support project management including, but not limited to, Workflow tools (Gemini, JIRA, Smartsheet),back office ERP systems (SAP).
Possesses a general knowledge and understanding of the GRC products, services, processes, and technology supported across CIOx.
Customer Focus - dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, acts with customer in mind, and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with customers.
Project Management - Strong knowledge of Project/Program Management principles / methodologies (e.g., waterfall and Agile.)
Strong process management skills skilled at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done, knows how to organize people and activities, knows how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow.
Strong planning skills can work with project team to accurately scope out length and difficulty of milestone, break work down into tasks, develop schedules and task/people assignments, anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks, measure performance against goals, and evaluate results.
Effective decision-making skills can make quality decisions in a timely manner.
Applied expertise in six sigma, lean, or similar process re-engineering practices.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30%.
