Job Description

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) invites application for the position Project Assistant

Project entitled: "Systems Biology approach to delineate molecular signatures of Prakriti in healthy humans”

No. Of Post: 01 Post

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or allied subjects from UGC recognized university.

Desirable: Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or allied subjects with good academic record. Candidate with work experience in biological laboratory, preparation of various reagents and maintenance of project records will be preferred.

Nature of work: The Project Assistant will be involved in work related to proteomics, transcriptomics, metagenomic (microbiome) and project management. The person will also be responsible for sample transport, cataloging and storage.

Salary: Rs. 23,792/- per month (Fixed)

Duration of the project: The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis, initially for one year and which is renewable for another year subject to satisfactory performance, for a maximum of two years.
