Job Description

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invites application for the position Project Assistant

Title of project: Model testing of turbine (Pazhassi Sagar & Peruvannamuzhy project) in HT R&D Lab

Sponsor of the project: M/s Kirloskar Brothers Limited, Pune

Project position(s) and number:
(a) Project Assistant (Electrical) – 1 no.
(b) Project Assistant (Mechanical) – 1 no.

Qualifications:
(a) 12th / ITI with 10 year experience in Electrical works in the substation/workshop/ factory
(b) 12th / ITI pass + 10 year experience in mechanical works in mechanical laboratory/workshop/factory

Emoluments: Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 45,000/- + HRA

Duration: One year

Job description :
(a) All sorts of electrical maintenance works in hydraulic turbine laboratory viz. maintenance of switch boards, illumination, emergency lighting and ventilation etc.
(b) All sorts of mechanical maintenance works in hydraulic turbine laboratory viz. welding, gas cutting piping, pipe fittings, operation of EOT crane etc.
