Project Assistant Microbiology jobs in Delhi at Acharya Narendra Dev College - University of Delhi

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Project Assistant Microbiology in ICMR funded Multi-Institution Project “An investigational study on Mycobacteriophages and their enzymes as new drugs (IND) for treating tuberculosis”.

Eligibility: M.Sc. Microbiology/Biomedical Science/Life Science/Biotechnology or related

fields/ MTech in Biotechnology or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. SC/ST candidates are required to have 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

Desirable qualifications: Practical knowledge of basic microbiological techniques, handling of Mycobacterium and bacteriophages, maintaining of microbial culture stocks, recombinant DNA technology, protein purification and basic understanding of bioinformatics tools for genome analysis.NET/GATE qualified candidate will be given preference.

Duration: Initially for one year, extendable for up to two more years based on the performance of candidate. Fellowship is co-terminus with the project (October 2022).

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- per month consolidated

Age limit: Upper age limit 28 years, relax able for SC/ST/OBC and women candidates as per Government of India rules.

Please note: Candidate may also be considered for registration in Ph.D. program with the

University of Delhi by the PI.

It was in early 1991 that Shri Chandra Shekhar, then Prime Minister of India, announced the establishment of Acharya Narendra Dev College in the name of his idealogue. Starting out with an interim allotment of four rooms in a SPS structure in R. K. Puram Sector 4 School, the college enrolled its first batch of students and began its teaching programs with two courses - B.Com. Honours and B.Sc General 'A' and eighty students.
