CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography, a constituent national laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Institute (CSIR),invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of the following project staff, purely on a temporary contractual basis to carry out research work on the R&D project and to be engaged in NIO Head Quarters, Goa.

1. Position: Project Associate-I

2. No. of. Posts: 01

3. Monthly Emoluments: Rs.25000/ - Plus HRA as per rules

4. Essential Qualification: M.Sc Marine Sciences (Specialization: Chemistry / Geology)

5. Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Experience in analytical laboratory work and data processing.The candidate is required to work and assist the scientists in carrying out chemical / geochemical analyses of seawater and sediment samples; participation of cruises for sample collection.

6. Project Title and Vacancy Details: Tectonic and magmatic processes along the slowspreading midoceanic ridges and subduction zone in the Indian Ocean (TeaM-RiSe). Vacancy Code MLP2017/2161-21 Tenure: 6 Months

5. Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Experience of working in sediment/water geochemistry/ isotope geochemistry.The candidate is required to work and assist the scientists in carrying out biogeochemical analysis of marine sediment/water samples.
