Post Name : Project Associate I

Qualification with 55% of Marks (50% marks for SC/ST) : M.Sc. in Chemistry.B.E/B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering.B.E/B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/Material Science and Engineering

Stipend : (i) 31,000/-pm + 9% of HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii)`.25,000/-pm + 9% of HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Experience : Preferably hands on experience in electrochemical experiments for 6 months or more. GATE/NET qualified candidates are preferable.Experience in electrochemistry/ electrocatalyts/ materials characterization.Experience in electrocatalysis

Experience : Experience/knowledge in embedded system may be desirable. Preference will be given to candidates who are having 3 years of experience in PLC Programming and Field Instrumentation and experience in working with sensors.

Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI) was founded at Karaikudi. The institute took roots in the patriotic fervour of RM. Alagappa Chettiar, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Dr. Shanthi Swarup Bhatnagar. Fast forward five years, on January 14, 1953, the institution became a reality when Dr. S. Radhakrishnan dedicated CSIR-CECRI, the 12th national laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR),to the nation.
