Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the School of Electrical Sciences of this Institute.

1. Post Name: Project Associate II – 1 Post

2. Name of the temporary research Project: "Speech to Speech Translation for Tribal Languages using Deep Leaning Framework"

3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)

4. Consolidated Emolument: Project Associate II : Rs. 35,000/- + HRA @16% per month

5. Educational Qualification and Experiences:

Project Associate II: (i) Bachelor’s Degree (ECE/CSE/IT) in Engineering/ Technology from a recognised University/ Institute with 2 years’ relevant experience in Industry and Academic Institutions (or) Master’s Degree (Signal Processing/ Machine Learning/ AI) in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University or equivalent (ii) Preferable: Valid GATE score.

6. Desirable Knowledge and Job Description:

Experiences in signal processing, machine learning and A1 and good coding abilities in machine learning and deep learning Field visit, speech data collection and organization Development of machine learning and deep learning based speech recognition, speech synthesis and translation system. Any administrative activities related to the project.

7. Period of Engagement: The appointment for the above contractual position will be initially for 6 (six) months, which can be further extended subject to satisfactory performance, availability of funds and requirement in the project.

8. Duration of the project: 3 years

Age Limit:

Not exceeding 35 years as on the date of selection process.
