Job Description

Project Associate/ Project Assistant 

PROJECT 2: Germplasm Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience, Productivity and Nutritional quality -Coordination Unit

Project Associate-I (01) Rs.31000 +24% HRA for first 2 years and Project Associate-II Rs. 35000 + 24% HRA for 3rd year onward 

Essential qualification: (i) Master's Degree in Management/Life Sciences from a recognized University and Desirable Qualification: I. Experience in analyses of biological data sets

Upper age limit: 35 years

Project Assistant (01) Rs. 20000+24% HRA

Essential Qualification: Graduation in Life Sciences

Desirable Qualification: I. Experience in handling office documents, data entry etc. 

Upper age limit: 50 years

About Company

In an unprecedented initiative, NBPGR, for the first time, has characterized and evaluated (preliminary) entire germplasm of wheat (22000 accessions comprising T. aestivum, T. durum and T. dicoccum) conserved in the National Genebank, at three locations in during Rabi 2011-12. At CCS HAU, Hisar, the wheat accessions have been characterized under optimum conditions. Data on 32 agro-morphological characters are used to develop a core-set.
