Skills -PROJECT COORDINATOR

Experience 1 to 3 Years Industry Advertising / Publishing / Events / PR / MR Functional Area Project Management / Site Engineers Works with the Commissioning team and/or Authors to plan and develop the content and structure of specific titles/products to ensure the competitive strength of the titles/products. This will include effective collaboration with authors and editors to develop superior content. It will also include the administrative aspects like people management (project managers and copy-editors),negotiations with vendors etc. Maintain Effective Communication Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of material change to the publication in terms of content, specification and schedule. Keep Commissioning and Sales teams closely informed about the status of projects. Financial Responsible for ensuring that costs of assigned titles come in on or below agreed budgets. Publishing and product development Maintain and strengthen relationships with authors and editors, including attending meetings as needed. Work with the Commissioning team to develop competitive and commercially viable project proposals. Work with authors/editors/contributors to plan and develop title content and structure to ensure adherence to schedule and budget. Check for and ensure all materials are present and that permissions are cleared. Prepare and transmit manuscripts into production. Troubleshoot problems during production to maintain publication schedule, interacting with authors/editors and Production as necessary. Systems and processes Make the necessary accurate inputs into book tracking systems and product databases, and keep up to date. Author management Work closely with authors and manage them to ensure that manuscripts are received on time, corrections/proofs are updated and final revises are passed on to the typesetter for incorporation.
